Philippines Visa

You can enter the Philippines without a visa for an initial period of 30 days. You can also get a tourist visa from the Philippine Embassy before you travel, which will allow an initial 59 day stay.
You can apply to extend your stay at the offices of the Bureau of Immigration,  You will need one 2×2 head shot picture against a white background. You also need photocopies of your arrival date and main passport page (with your picture) in your passport.

1) Visa Waiver 
  Program
  ( No Visa)

 Maximum length of stay: 30 days

 * If you are planning to stay longer than 30 days, 
  you must apply for tourist visa with extended
  duration of stay

 Condition: Prohibition to work



2) Quota Immigrant
 Visa

 
Immigration office issues 50 people per country
  Maximum length of stay: Unlimited

 How to apply:
 Usually, required paperwork and conditions are
 not easy
 1. Application form 
 2. Copy of passport
 3. Affidavit of financial capacity and proof of 
  investment in the Philippines
 4. Statement of Filipino bank account, business, 
  tax paper,vehicle registration (Proof of 3)
 5. Medical exam statement issued by the Bureau
  of Quarantine
 6. Permission from Bureau of Immigration
 7. Medical health certificate from local clinic
  in the Philippines
 8. National Intelligence Coordinating Agency 
  Clearance
 9. Essay about why you want to have a 
  permanent residency for the Philippines.
 10. Statement of transferred funds of $50,000              USD                                                     

   11. Police Clearance or certification that the 
  applicant has no criminal record

 Condition: Eligible to work


3) Tourist Visa

 Maximum length of stay:
 59 days

 * If you are planning to stay longer than 30 days, 
  you must apply for tourist visa with extended
  duration of stay

 How to apply: Apply to Filipino Embassy. 
  You need to enter within 3 months after 
  tourist visa was issued.

 Requirements:
 Copy of passport (6 months prior to expiration), 
 application form,  passport picture, proof of 
 financial income
 (bank account statement, credit card, etc.), 
 flight ticket, I.D.

 Condition: Prohibition to work  
  


4) SRRV
(Special Resident
 Retiree's Visa)

 Maximum length of stay: 
Unlimited


 Qualification:
  Transfer money to Filipino government 
  controlled bank for more than 6 months
  20,000 USD if applicants are more than 50 
  years old
  50,000 USD if applicants are less than 50 
  years old
  *transferred money has to stay for 6 months.

 Condition: Eligible to work if you get permission


5) SIRV
(Special 
 Investment's 
 Residence Visa)

 Maximum length of stay: Unlimited


 Qualification: 
  You need to use $75,000 USD for investment

 Condition: 
  visa is effective until you keep investment.
  Need permission to work



6) SRVV
(Special Resident Visitors Visa)

 Maximum length of stay: One year


 Qualification: 
  Stay in governmental controlled properties
  or purchase a condo in the Philippines



7) Special Investor's
 Visa

 Maximum length of stay: Unlimited


 Qualification: 
  Invest for a government designated business
  *Eco-business for $50,000 USD, Subic business
  for $250,000 USD



8) Treaty traders
 Visa

 Maximum length of stay: Unlimited


 Qualification: 
  
Establish a company and hold stock valued

  more than $300,000 pesos 
  *Limits for certain nationality holders



9) Pre-Arranged Employee Visa

 In other words, working visa


 Maximum length of stay: Only for work period

 Qualification: Local company invites you to work
        *You need to renew visa yearly


10) Non-Quota 
 Immigrate Visa

 Maximum length of stay: Unlimited (if no divorce)

 How to apply: Marry with Filipino spouse.


11) Balik-Bayan Visa

 Maximum length of : One year (no extension)


 Qualification: 
  Former Philippine citizens and for 
  foreign spouses and minor foreign unmarried
  children of Filipinos and former Filipino citizens


12) Student Visa

 Qualification: Study in the Philippines.

 
 Condition: Prohibition to work



13) Business Visa

 Maximum length of stay: 59 days


 Qualification: Business travel



14) Special Working Visa

 Maximum length of stay:
 3 months maximum

              (need to renew monthly)

 How to apply:
  Immigration office will issue after entering 
  with no visa or Tourist visa.

 Condition: 
  Volunteer in the Philippines. Prohibition to 
  earn money.
