I thought it would be a good idea to share some experience with meeting various Asian girls on a first date – mistakes that have been made that you can learn from to help save you time and embarrassment!
1) Don’t make the first date something big like taking them to a theme park! As tempting as it may be to make the “perfect” first date.. there is the possibility that you find out you are not interested in her very early, or that she is not interested in you! Then you have to suffer a whole day with them because you planned something awesome!
2) Don’t touch them! Asian girls are not like westerners and simple touching like trying to hold hands or hugging are not as acceptable here for a first date and many girls will be made very uncomfortable if you do anything like this so soon. Some girls even save hugging for private places and not public even with ones they are close with.
3) Turn your phone on silent ;) – you may not be the kind of guy that has many dates at the same time, but nothing ruins a date more than getting a call from another girl. Usually girls like to go to the bathroom often and that is the perfect chance for you to check up on your messages! Try to make her drink a few litres of water as soon as you meet (hydration is important) and it will pay off for you later!
4) Offer to take her back to her home especially if you are meeting at night – not to go inside but to make sure she safely gets home. Depending how much you like her and the type of girl she is this could be a very nice gesture as sometimes taxi’s at night are not safe places for young attractive ladies.
5) Don’t see a movie immediately. While seeing a movie for a first date is a good idea make sure you have some food or drinks together first, sitting next to someone you just met in silence for two hours is not a good way to start things off.
6) Make eye contact! But not with other women! It shows you are interested in her and looking at other women all the time in any culture is a bad idea.
7) Don’t be loud. In many western countries people talk louder than over in Asia, so bear this in mind and don’t scare the girl away with your booming voice.
8) Don't be surprised if she brings a family member or friend along with her on the first date this can be quite normal, especially when meeting for the first time. But after she is comfortable with you you will be alone together.
