Angeles City Bars

Angeles City has most probably the biggest amount of bars in the smallest area in the Philippines, most of them being GoGo style bars with common theme of having a dance floor in the center with chairs around for the customers to sit an watch the girls in their bikinis.
Of the bars in Angeles City there are two distinct areas that they can be found, Perimeter road and Walking Street. Both these areas are different from the other an can expect to have a different experience at either one.


Perimeter Road Bars tend to open from around 12 noon till 11pm at night and are more for drinking in the afternoon then a hard night out on. They are far apart an will require a little walking to get from one to the next, there are plenty of trikes in the area so never any problem with transport as well as a jeepney that runs up an down the road. All the bars there have happy hour until about 6pm where its about 50 peso per drink for the local ones, so wont cost you that much to have a few after your lunch. Most of the bars there are small and aren't on the same scale as ones of walking street but they are cheaper in prices for drinks. Bar layout as i have mentioned previously remains the same with dance stage for the girls and chairs and booths facing them, you may see a bucket or container with ping pong balls in them before getting excited thing it for some strange show they are for the girls tips. Depending on the bar it varies in cost to throw, but each ball one of the girls gets they get 10 pesos and you get to see them run around chasing them.

Walking Street Bars in Angeles open around 6pm an close around 3am, tends to be more crowded down here then Perimeter Road also a lot of freelancers applying their trade.The Bars here tend to be a lot better designed an not so tacky but the drink prices are more higher, they also have a night club as well as most bars being right next to each other. Here as the name implies its just walking from one bar to the next  but they aren't far apart you will find transport all trikes at the side streets as well as at the start an end of the street. And as i advise always if your going to take a trike make sure you discuss price before ever getting into it especially when coming from a bar they will try take advantage because your white and possibly drunk.
